1:1 Devices
Students
T²E² is Bullard ISD's 1:1 (one device per student) initiative. Every 7th through 12th grade student is assigned a Chromebook for use in the classroom and at home.
Every student must have a completed T²E² agreement for the current school year before they will receive a Chromebook. Parents/Guardians can complete the agreement online through Skyward Family Access during online registration.
Students in 6th grade and lower have access to classroom sets of Chromebooks, iPads, or other devices to help support 21st-century learning.
Students should see their campus tech help desk if they are experiencing the following:
- broken screen or device
- lost charger cord or the charger cord is not working properly
- can't access instructional material
- need login assistance
Teachers and Staff
All Bullard ISD teachers and administrators are issued a mobile laptop device to help facilitate student learning. Please contact Helpdesk Support for more information or if you need assistance with your issued device.
Help Desk Support
Bullard ISD uses a ticket-based helpdesk system to keep track of and quickly resolve issues.
How to Create a New Ticket
After sending the email, you will receive an automated reply. All communication for the ticket will come to you by email.
Please do not email an individual person. Instead, email the helpdesk so we can keep track of the problem. If learning stops, please call one of the technology contacts.
- Create an email with a subject that briefly describes your problem. Ex. “SmartBoard not working.”
- In the email body, give a detailed explanation of the problem. Also include your Campus and Room Number
- If your problem is technology-related (Smart Board, Computer, Email, Moodle, etc) then email itsupport@bullardisd.net
- If your problem is maintenance-related (electrical, air conditioning, janitorial, door locks, etc) then email maintenance@bullardisd.net
New Staff Account Set Up
New Staff Help
Your Bullard ISD Account will let you log into most Bullard ISD services, including your computer, email, website, and Google services (Calendar, Drive, etc). Your password will sync between all of these services.
New accounts are automatically generated from Skyward, our Student Information and School Business System. Your new account cannot be created until you have submitted all of the required information (SSN card, Driver's License, etc) to the Administration Building staff.
Once you have submitted all of your information, an account will be generated for you:
| Username: | <legal first name>.<legal last name> |
| Display Name: | <Legal First Name> <Legal Last Name> |
| Email Address: | <username>@bullardisd.net |
| Password: | Bullard<last four numbers of SSN> |
Example John Smith with SSN 123-45-6789:
| Username: | john.smith |
| Display Name: | John Smith |
| Email Address: | john.smith@bullardisd.net |
| Password: | Bullard6789 |
First Time Account Setup
If you use another name besides your legal name, you can have your username/email changed by submitting a ticket.
This process will be much easier to do before you have logged into your computer and email. If you’d like to change your username, please submit a ticket before logging in.
Computer
You will be able to log into most computers in the district with your Bullard ISD Account username and password.
If you are a teacher or office staff, you will be assigned a notebook computer and/or a desktop computer depending on your role. Your supervisor will coordinate with technology staff to have a computer checked out to you.
Email, Calendar, and Contacts
Your Email, Calendar, and Contacts are all part of your Google Account provided to you by Bullard ISD. You may access your email here.
Please see Google Support for basic help with Google services. See here for help setting up your email on your smartphone.
File Storage (Google Drive)
With your Google Account provided by Bullard ISD, you have access to unlimited cloud storage. You are responsible for the data you store on your Google Drive. The technology staff will not assist with storing or downloading personal files (personal pictures, movies, etc). Additionally, your files might become Public Record once uploaded to your Google Drive.
Helpdesk
If you need technology or maintenance support, please submit a help desk ticket. If you do not yet have access to your Bullard ISD Account, you can use your personal email to submit a helpdesk ticket.
Submitting a helpdesk ticket is the best way to get help. Please do not directly contact technicians by email, phone, or stop them in the hall.
Phone
See the Phone Help page for setting up your phone and voicemail. If your phone does not display your name, please submit a helpdesk ticket to have your phone reset.
Skyward
Your Skyward accounts (Gradebook, TruTime) are separate from your main Bullard ISD Account. Your Skyward account information will be provided when your accounts are set up.
Staff Phone Help
Dialing
To dial a number, first dial the number, then press the # key to start the call. You may also dial the number then lift the receiver to start the call.
Directory
District employees can view the current district directory here. You can also access the directory from your phone by dialing the numbers coresponding to the letters in a name. For instance, to call John Smith, press 5 (J), 6 (o), 4 (h), 6 (n). This will bring up a list of any matching names you can navigate through and select to call.
Voicemail Setup
To hear your extension, dial *65. (Note: Press the # key to start the call.) Your extension will be the default password for your voicemail. If your phone is an older Grandstream model (GXP1415), press the key below VMsq on the screen to dial your voicemail. If your phone is a newer Grandstream model (GXP1615), press the envelope button. If your phone is the Yealink model, press the Message button. You will be prompted for your password which will be your extension by default. You will be guided through recording your Name, Unavailable message, and Busy message. You will then be asked to enter a new password. DO NOT enter the new password as your extension number or you will be asked to rerecord your messages each time you enter your voicemail.
Using Voicemail
When receiving a voicemail you may listen to it from the phone itself. You will also receive an email with the voicemail attached. If you wish to send a person a voicemail without calling them first, dial a * before their extension. For example, if you wished to leave a voicemail for the person with extension 1234, dial *1234.
Do Not Disturb
To toggle Do Not Disturb (DND) on and off on the Grandstream model phone, dial *76. You will hear an automated message telling you the current status of DND.
Dialing Out
You don't have to use a special prefix to dial out, just dial the number.
Long Distance
You can make calls anywhere inside the contiguous US toll-free. If you need to make a US call outside of this area, use the last four numbers of your SSN as your pass code. If you're trying to make an international call, please contact the technology department for assistance.
