ParentSquare is a unified communication platform that offers a whole host of tools that allows district, school administrators, and teachers to communicate more effectively and engage with families and students. Some features include:

  • Mass notifications and Urgent Alerts 
  • A mobile app (iOS and Android)
  • Teacher and classroom communication
  • Direct Messaging with two-way translation
  • Attendance notifications

In order to have a ParentSquare account, the user must be listed as a guardian in Skyward. If you cannot log in to ParentSquare and are unsure of the information you have on file in Skyward, please contact your campus and they can help you. If updates are made in Skyward, the changes will show in ParentSquare the following day.

All contact information must be updated through Skyward and NOT directly through ParentSquare. 

For new students who enroll during the school year, once enrollment is complete in Skyward, ParentSquare will sync with Skyward overnight and create ParentSquare accounts for each person listed as a guardian for the student. The following day, the parent can go to or the ParentSquare app and register the new account using the email or phone number they have on file in Skyward.

2023-24 School Year

Student information, such as grade level, will roll over in ParentSquare the week of July 31. Until then, students will show as the grade they were in during the 2022-23 school year.

Classes/courses and teacher information for your students will begin showing in ParentSquare Friday evening, Aug. 11.

How to Log In To Parent Square

To log into ParentSquare, go to or download the ParentSquare app from your Apple or Google Play store.

Parents - Parents (must be listed as guardian in Skyward) will login with the email or phone number they have in Skyward.  If logging in for the first time, you will need to select "Register Account" and enter your phone or email address. 

Students - Middle and high school students (only) should download the StudentSquare app from their Apple or Google Play stores. Once they download the app, they will log in by clicking "sign in with Google". In their account information, students can customize their notifications to receive messages by email (default), text, and/or app. To receive texts, students also need to enter their cell phone number into their account settings. 

Staff - Staff will select "Sign in with Google" to log in. 

Set User Preferences

After logging in, be sure to go to your account settings to set your language preference and to customize your notifications (how you want to receive your messages). 

  • In Preferences, users can select the language they prefer. Posts/messages will be delivered in their selected language.
    • From Your Browser:
      1. From Home, click your name at the top-right and select My Account.
      2. On the left, select Language Settings.
      3. Click the drop-down menu and select your language and click Save.
    • From Mobile App
      1. From Home, tap the Menu (triple bars) on the top-left.
      2. Select Account.
      3. Select Preferences.
      4. Select Language.
      5. Scroll through the list and tap on your language.


  • In Notifications, users can select if they want to receive messages by email, text, and/or app notification. Email is the default. Users will need to turn on text and app notifications if they choose. Users can also select to receive messages “instantly” or in “digest” mode (digest holds all messages until the evening and delivers them all at once.) Digest is the system default. So be sure to set your notifications if you want to receive posts/messages instantly. Urgent Alerts from the district or campus will always deliver instantly. 
    • From Your Browser:
      1. From Home, click your name in the top-right corner and select My Account.
      2. Select Notification Settings on the left. 
      3. Choose your preferred Notification Settings for General Announcements & Messages (Off, Instant or Digest) and School Alerts (On or Off). 
    • From Mobile App
      1. From Home, tap the Menu (triple bars) on the top left. 
      2. Select Account.
      3. Select Notifications.
      4. Use the toggle to turn on or off notifications by email, text and app. 
      5. Select Instant or Digest for each mode.
