Trustees recognize student and staff achievements during January monthly board meeting

The Bullard ISD Board of Trustees Bullard ISD Trustees recognized the accomplishments of our outstanding students and staff during the January regular monthly meeting on January 23, 2024.

The District Students of the Month are Layla Wagner, a 1st grader at Bullard Primary School, and Matthew Elliott, a senior at Bullard High School. Watch this video to learn more about Layla and Matthew. 

The January Employee of the Month is Cecilee Walker, a teacher at Bullard Early Childhood Campus. BEC Principal Amanda Goode says Mrs. Walker is a true team player. She is always willing to step in and help wherever needed and loves each and every child who enters her room. We see her students make such great progress both academically and socially. She is an amazing teacher. The Employee of the Month program is sponsored by Cooperative Teachers Credit Union.  Watch Dr. Lee surprise Mrs. Walker in her classroom. 

Also recognized were All-State Band and All-State Choir members. All-State selection is the highest honor a student musician can receive. All-State Choir Members: Caitlyn Brems (2nd chair) and Brenden Kittrell (2nd chair).

We also recognized our Trustees for School Board Recognition Month! To help us celebrate, BHS Advanced Floral Design students created beautiful flower arrangements for each Trustee, and BHS Culinary students prepared and served a delicious dinner of baked chicken, cheesy potatoes, green beans, rolls, banana pudding, and pecan pie.
