Trustees recognize student achievements during October monthly board meeting

Bullard ISD Board of Trustees recognized the outstanding accomplishments of district students and staff during their regular monthly meeting on October 17, 2022.

The District Students of the Month are Kolbi Richmond, an eighth grader at Bullard Middle School, and Decker Penney, a first grader at Bullard Primary School. Watch this video to learn more about Kolbi and Decker!

The District Employee of the Month is Starla Saali, an eighth-grade teacher at Bullard Middle School. Principal Jodie Albritton says Ms. Saali goes above and beyond her responsibilities. When asked to do something or help a staff member, she simply says, "I'll do whatever it takes."  Above all, she has a contagious, positive attitude that radiates throughout the campus. The Employee of the Month program is sponsored by Cooperative Teachers Credit Union. 

Trustees also recognized additional students and staff. 

Girl Scout Cadets Brooklyn Allen and Kallie Dockter for earning their Silver Award, the highest award a Girl Scout can earn, by cleaning up and beautifying the Bullard Middle School track area.

Bus driver Lowell Howell and monitors Marsha Silmon and Nancy Welmaker for caring for the needs of their students on board.
