Bullard ISD welcomes James Wills as new head tennis coach
Bullard ISD welcomes James Wills as its new head tennis coach. Wills previously served as an assistant coach and middle school teacher in Bullard from 2018-2021 before leaving to be the head tennis coach at Jacksonville College. While at Jacksonville College, the men’s team earned an 11th-place National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) ranking.
“I am excited to be back in Bullard ISD,” Wills said. “I coached this year’s senior tennis athletes when they were just beginning in seventh grade, so it will be fun to see their development now as seniors.”
Before his coaching career, Wills served as a helicopter pilot in the United States Army and retired after 25 years of dedicated service. He holds a Master of Science in Administration Leadership from Central Michigan University in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches.
The Panther community is invited to a meet-and-greet with Coach Wills at the Bullard High School main entrance on Wednesday, September 18 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
