At its regular monthly meeting on September 14, 2026, the Bullard ISD Board of Trustees reviewed design plans to renovate the district’s former middle school building into a campus serving students in Pre-K, Kindergarten, and first grade.

Following the presentation, trustees authorized the architectural firm to move forward with the next phase of construction planning. Construction is expected to begin in January 2027 and be completed in July, in time for the 2027-28 school year.

“We are excited to see months of planning for our new campus come to life in these design drawings,” Bullard Early Childhood Principal Monica Ventress said. “Our teachers are excited about the new learning spaces and are thankful to have been included throughout the planning process.”

The renovated campus will be named Bullard Primary School and will feature interactive, creative learning spaces designed specifically for young learners. Planned spaces include a jungle-themed entryway, an under-the-sea-themed media center, a building-block-themed STEM lab, and more.

The project is the final project in the Bullard Bond 2022 package, approved by voters in May 2022.

“Through the design process, our administrative teams and teachers visited similarly styled learning spaces, collaborated with architects, and brainstormed the types of spaces that would benefit our students most,” Bullard ISD Superintendent Dr. Micah Dyer said. “It was a fun process working together to help design something that will have such a positive impact on Panthers for years to come.”
