Bullard ISD opens new Bullard Middle School for spring semester

Bullard Independent School District is proud to announce the completion of the new Bullard Middle School campus, a major milestone in the district’s ongoing commitment to providing exceptional learning environments for students. District and campus staff welcomed 7th- and 8th-grade students into the new building on January 7, 2026, as the spring semester began. 

“We are incredibly grateful to Berry and Clay Construction, Claycomb Associates, Architects, the City of Bullard, our parents and taxpayers, and everyone who worked collaboratively to bring this project to completion,” said Bullard ISD Interim Superintendent Jan Hill. “This campus represents a significant investment in our students and their future.”

The new Bullard Middle School is part of Proposition A of the Bullard Bond 2022 package. Voters approved both Propositions A and B in May 2022, with a total funding of $103 million. The state-of-the-art campus spans approximately 203,000 square feet and features modern academic classrooms, collaborative learning spaces, science labs, fine arts areas, a media center, an innovative life-skills home-simulation lab, competition gyms, a football field, tennis courts, and additional athletic and instructional spaces. Beginning in August, the building will also hold 6th grade.

Proposition A also includes an expansion of the Bullard High School cafeteria, an addition connecting the Bullard Primary and Bullard Elementary campuses, and renovations to the former Bullard Middle School to serve as an intermediate campus for grades 3–5. The high school cafeteria expansion and the elementary and primary campus addition are scheduled for completion by August 2026, while renovations to the former middle school are expected to be completed by August 2027. 
 

Proposition B of Bullard Bond 2022 funded athletic facility improvements, including the Bullard ISD Athletic Complex for baseball, softball, and tennis, which was completed in January 2024, and the Bullard ISD Indoor Multipurpose Facility, which was completed in January 2025.
