Bullard High School Band named runner-up in the Association of Texas Small School Bands Outstanding Performance Series

Dr. Jordan directs a performance of the BHS Symphonic Band

The Bullard High School Symphonic Band has been selected as the runner-up (second place) for the prestigious Association of Texas Small School Bands Outstanding Performance Series (OPS).

The recorded performance of the band's march, "The Caravan Club" by Karl L. King, from the UIL Region 21 Concert Contest was submitted for this competition.

"We advanced from Region to Area and then to the State adjudication process," Band Director Gary Jordan said. "Ten Texas Class 4A Bands advanced to State, and we received runner-up. I am extremely proud of the wonderful, musically talented and dedicated students that achieved this award."

Texas Class 4A ATSSB is divided into 22 Regions and 5 Areas for OPS competition.

The winners receive statewide recognition, and the recorded performances will be placed on a CD and distributed to schools throughout the State.

Congratulations to the Bullard High School Band!
