Bullard ISD is once again hosting the Smith County Youth Expo in our Blake Kelly and Bullard FFA School Farm and Teaching Laboratory from Feb. 7 through Feb. 9. The facility is located directly behind Bullard High School, 1426 South Houston St.

In its 17th year, the Smith County Youth Expo is an annual event where local FFA students and 4-H members showcase their market steers, barrows, lambs, goats, roasters, rabbits, and ag mechanics projects while also competing for numerous other awards throughout the week in the Open Ag Mechanics Show, Open Heifer Show, and the Livestock Judging contest.

This year’s Expo will feature 292 projects entered by more than 185 students from Arp ISD, Bullard ISD, Chapel Hill ISD, Lindale ISD, Troup ISD, Tyler ISD (Legacy and Tyler High), Whitehouse ISD, Winona ISD, and Smith County 4-H.

Graduating seniors also have the opportunity to earn scholarships. Since 2008, The Smith County Youth Expo has awarded more than 140 scholarships to deserving seniors.
