Bullard FFA students earn top state FFA honors

Chandler holds Lone Star Degree certificate

Three Bullard High School FFA students recently received FFA Lone Star Degrees at the 95th Texas FFA Convention, held in Dallas July 10-14. The Lone Star FFA Degree is the highest degree of membership the State FFA Association can award.

Brody Newburn, Jacob Stripling, and Chandler Davis, all seniors at Bullard High School, were among 2,470 FFA students across the state to earn the honor. Brody is the Bullard FFA Chapter President, Jacob is the Chapter Vice President, and Chandler is the Chapter Secretary.

Students begin the degree process during their freshman year by keeping records on a Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) as well as completing extensive requirements in agricultural education activities. Additional requirements include being active FFA members for at least two years, achieving investment goals, performing community service, earning recognition at the chapter level, and completing significant activities above the chapter level to receive a Lone Star Degree.

Congratulations Brody, Jacob, and Chandler! We are #BullardProud of you!
