Bullard Bond 2022

On behalf of the Bullard ISD Board of Trustees, students, faculty, and staff, we thank our community for supporting Bullard Bond 2022 program and the future of Bullard ISD. In May 2022, voters approved the program by passing both Proposition A and Proposition B to ultimately allow our district to accommodate the tremendous growth we continue to see year after year. The new Bullard Middle School will be located on the southeast corner of FM2493E and Hwy 69 south of Bullard.

The approximately 175,000-square-foot building will feature state-of-the-art classrooms for academics, special education, and career and technical education. Learning spaces will also include fine arts music, theatre, and art studios, seven science labs, a media center, a competition turf field and track, four tennis courts, and more.

The expected completion date is scheduled for the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year.

#BullardBond2022 Update: We are going vertical on the baseball, softball, and tennis courts at the new Bullard ISD Athletic Complex located behind Bullard Elementary School! It's exciting to see this facility start to take shape! The Athletic Complex is expected to be completed in January 2024.

At the Indoor Multipurpose Facility located west of Panther Stadium, steel and concrete piers are being poured. Dirtwork continues at the new Bullard Middle School located on the southeast corner of FM2493E and HWY 69.

We are working with architects to review the remaining #BullardBond2022 projects, including the Bullard Elementary School Bullard Primary School addition, the Bullard High School cafeteria expansion, and the renovations to the existing Middle School. After the review process is complete, these projects will move into the design phase.

Great progress continues on all Bullard Bond 2022 projects.

As presented in the Bullard ISD Board of Trustees' October monthly board meeting, the below construction update provides information on the current status of each project.

Bullard Athletic Complex: The softball field playing surface is complete, and baseball will be finished soon. We are still completing dugout work and concrete for walkway areas. All tennis courts are poured and must now cure for 28 days before surfacing work can begin. We are still about a month from electricity being available in the complex.

New Bullard Middle School: Dirt work continues across the whole site. Crews are preparing for the plumbing phase to begin soon.

Remaining Projects: Architects continue to meet with district administration to discuss plans for the Bullard Primary/Bullard Elementary addition, renovations to the existing middle school, and the high school cafeteria expansion.

Bullard Athletic Complex and Indoor Multipurpose Facility

We are getting close to the completion of the Bullard ISD Athletic Complex! Tennis courts are being surfaced, wall fencing is going up on the softball and baseball fields, and scoreboards are being finalized. Finishing work continues on dugouts, the concession stand, the ticket booth, and other areas. The Bullard Athletic Complex is located behind Bullard Elementary School.

At the multipurpose facility, steel beams are up, and the roof/rafter work will continue over the next few weeks. The indoor multipurpose facility is located near Panther Stadium behind the field house.

Bullard Middle School

All earthwork is done, and you can see where structures, such as the main building, track, and tennis courts, will be located. Crews are preparing to begin foundation and structural steelwork soon. TXDOT expects the FM2493/HWY 69 overpass project to take approximately five years to complete.

New Middle School - Most of the building's dirt work is complete. This week, construction crews started pouring concrete foundations at the new middle school sight. The plumbers are working ahead of the concrete crews to prepare the areas for future pours. Steel has been delivered, and installation is expected to begin the week of March 11. Oncor is currently running powerlines to the site.

Multipurpose Facility - Electricians are completing rough-in ceiling and wall conduits. Currently finishing up wall siding on the East side of the building. Roofing is expected to begin the week of March 11. Shot-Put / Discus has been installed. These were moved because of the multipurpose construction site.

Athletic Complex - Completing punch list items. The gravel Parking lot (which holds roughly 150 vehicles) is finished. The parking bumper installation will begin as soon as they are delivered.

New Middle School - We are vertical! Crews are installing structural steel beams and are continuing to pour concrete areas as weather permits. Other projects currently in progress include site stormwater drainage systems and underground mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installation.

Multipurpose Facility - Electricians are completing rough in ceiling and wall conduits. The north and south walls are about 90% complete and brick work is beginning around the base of the building. Windows are framed and ready for installation. Installation will begin on the inside turf after the ground dries out from the recent rains.

Athletic Complex - Completing punch list items. Parking bumpers are installed on the gravel parking lot. More sod is planned and will be installed soon.
