Keyboarding and Word Processing
Students who are unable to type at least 30 words per minute should take this class before attempting other computer courses. We will learn the location of all the commonly used keys and the correct finger for each. We will continue with keyboard practice so that their speed increases to a level that will allow them to complete their computer work and other reports in less time.
The second semester centers around Microsoft Word. The students are given instruction and practice so that they can take advantage of the many features of the program. We learn the different format styles for business, educational, and personal documents. We are also work with tables, charts, borders, and font style variations.
