Lady Panthers make history The Bullard High School Lady Panthers' trip to the final round of the regional basketball tournament Saturday made school history by going farther in post-season play than any girls' basketball team since the move to the full-court game in the 1970s. The Ladies took their opening round game 59-51 over Bryan Rudder High School before bowing out in the tournament's final round. The team finished the season at 30-9 for their second straight 30-game season. The history-making squad is made up of: 2 Senior 5-3 guard Emmy Long 3 Junior 5-4 guard Felicia Sigman 5 Senior 5-4 guard Ashley Phillips 11 Senior 5-10 guard Ashley Ricci 12 Senior 5-3 guard Heather Camp 15 Junior 5-8 guard Ally Covalt 21 Sophomore 5-7 guard Samantha Phillips 23 Sophomore 5-9 guard Minta Spears 25 Junior 5-9 forward Ashlee Shidler 32 Junior 5-8 guard Christina Hatten 33 Senior 6-1 forward Kayla Welling Coach Greg Gay The Lady Panthers are coached by Greg Gay who is assisted by Toy Buckley, Shelly Ritch and Scott Gay.
